Marti
Carroll, owner/lead artisan of Fauxscapes, Inc., is
heading into her 15th year as a professional
decorative painter. She has trained under some of
the masters in the field, including Martin Hirsch, Janie
Ellis, Melanie Royals, Gary Lord, Mike McNeal, Leonard
Pardon, Barry Affleck and Joe Greco. Just recently
she was certified in the Faux Effects RsSeries product
line. She is diligent in remaining at the top in her
field and believes that continuing education keeps her
at the cutting edge.
The
majority of Marti’s commissions have been in the Baton
Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette areas; but she has also
worked on projects throughout the state of Louisiana and
has commissioned projects as far as Ochos Rios, Jamaica.
She is highly sought by interior designers, architects
and builders, as well as individual homeowners. She
commissions projects both commercially and
residentially.
Although
she keeps an extensive portfolio for viewing, most of
her finishes are custom designed for the individual
client. Marti does not believe that decorative painting
is only for walls; therefore, she incorporates beauty
and luxury into ceilings, cabinetry, furniture,
medallions and accessories. Her finishes include Old
World, Tuscany, French, Classic, Ethnic, and
Contemporary…there are no limits as to what can be
designed for the individual client.
Her work
has been published in The Advocate for a project she did
with the American Cancer Society called The Hospice
House. And again she was published in The City Social
magazine for work done in the Sanderson’s residence in
Covington, Louisiana. She is a member of Stencil
Artisans League, Inc. and a founding member of
Sisters
Hands Decorative Artists Consortium. She is a member of
the Capital Region Builders Association and the Baton
Rouge Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of The
Healing Place church.
Marti
enjoys her work and believes in “Lagniappe,” a little
something extra, for all her clients!
